Lab on a chip
The Fisic Medimate can determine various parameters from a single drop. For this, the Medimate uses Lab on a Chip technology. A Lab on a Chip is a miniaturized system in which one or more laboratory functions are combined in a glass or polymer plate of a few square millimeters. By using Lab on a Chip technology it is possible to miniaturize analytical techniques and make laboratory equipment smaller.
Some advantages of Lab on a Chip technology for liquid analysis are:
- One single drop is enough for analysis.
- The measurement time for analysis is shorter.
- Measurement conditions are easy to control.
- Measurements can be performed on any location.
- The measurement process is less costly.
